Established in 2009, Susquehanna Harbor Safe Haven Safe Haven is dedicated as home for 25 of the community’s single men who have had two or more bouts of homelessness and who have a diagnosed mental illness. Susquehanna Harbor provides a safe haven of permanent housing for men to regain physical and mental wellness, develop self-sufficiency skills and to find hope. Susquehanna Harbor’s program provides numerous on-site “wrap-around” services which ultimately will help these men to obtain gainful employment and move into their own apartments.  It also has a separate wing as the new home for the Downtown churches’ overnight emergency winter ministry.
